As an island city, Alameda is particularly vulnerable to sea level rise, and at the same time it faces the challenges caused by greenhouse gas emissions.

The City of Alameda is developing a Climate Action and Resiliency Plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and address climate impacts like increased flooding. As part of this process, the City wants your input.

The City is accepting public comment for the first draft of the Climate Action and Resiliency Plan. Everyone with a stake in Alameda is encouraged to participate, and all comments will be considered before the plan is finalized.

The public comment period will run from May 14-31, 2019. Link to the online platform: www.opentownhall.com/7405

We also invite you to join us for an in-person public comment session. Monday, May 20 • 6 – 8pm Elks Lodge • 2255 Santa Clara Avenue
