Bay Colony is a Planned Development consisting of 108 townhomes, including attached and free-standing dwellings. The common area is owned by the Association as a non-profit corporation for the use and benefit of all owners and residents in Bay Colony.

PSL Inspections

Please be advised that Streamline Plumbing will be in your neighborhood performing site inspections on the Bay Colony private sewer lateral system (PSL) from Monday, March 11th — Friday, April 5th, 2024.

Association Maintenance Responsibility

Front yard maintenance is the responsibility of the Association and owners must contact the Association Manager before making any changes to the landscape.

Trash Pick-Up

Homeowners are responsible for placing the garbage and recycling containers on the street for weekly pick-up and containers are to be stored out of public view except for the day preceding pick-up and the day of trash removal.

Parking

Parking within Bay Colony is limited. Please be sure to observe all parking regulations. Generally, parking on the street is limited to Guest Parking on a first come, first serve basis. Between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., please refrain from parking in front of mailboxes so as to facilitate mail delivery. Please refer to CC&Rs Article 3.16 and the Bay Colony Rules & Regulations.

Parking Permits

Bay Colony Homeowners Association has private streets and will enforce rules pertaining to street parking between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. Monday – Friday, excluding holidays, starting.  All vehicles parked on the streets of Bay Colony between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. Monday – Friday, excluding holidays, must display from the rear view mirror a parking permit.

Parking permits are available FREE OF CHARGE to all homeowners. Each household will receive 2 resident parking tags and 2 visitor tags. The resident tags will be assigned to a single vehicle. They are not transferable from one vehicle to another.  Both resident and visitor permits must be hung from the rear view mirror. No exceptions. Any vehicle parked on the streets of Bay Colony between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Monday – Friday, excluding holidays, without a parking permit will be towed immediately. Speed Limit

The speed limit in Bay Colony is 15 miles per hour. Residents and guests are requested to stay within the speed limit for the safety of residents, guests, and animals.

Pets

Please control your pets so they don’t disturb your neighbors. Persistent or prolonged barking, howling or making unusual noises violates Alameda Municipal Code Section 7-3.10. Any violation of this section shall be deemed a violation of Section 4-10.5 of the Alameda Municipal Code and subject to the penalties in Section 4-10.12 of the Alameda Municipal Code.

Board Meeting Schedule

Board meetings are currently held on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 6:00 PM. Please click here and watch for the meeting signs placed on Sharon Road near Mecartney Road prior to every meeting. All homeowners are welcome to attend.
