Community of Harbor Bay Isle Maintenance Department

No doubt you have noticed the beautifully kept grounds and lagoons at Harbor Bay Isle! Joe Landaeta, Director of Maintenance, heads our maintenance department. Together with his crew of hard working maintenance staff, Joe is responsible for maintaining the lagoons, circulation paths, mini-parks and landscape along the lagoons, as well as the landscape along major thoroughfares at Harbor Bay Isle.

All other landscape responsbilities belong to either your Neighborhood Association or the City of Alameda.

Did you know that the lagoon system is designed to cycle fresh bay water at a rate of 9 million gallons a day? The system is actually an ingeniously contrived drainage ditch, regulated by gates to maintain the water level at a constant height regardless of the tide level in the bay. Homeowners with lagoon lots are notified about the cleaning or construction schedules, during which time the level of the lagoon will be lowered.
