Welcome to Seastrand Homeowners' Association
The Seastrand Association is a planned development consisting of 27 single-family homes bordering the San Francisco Bay. Association Maintenance Responsibility Wood fence maintenance is the responsibility of the owners making use of the fence (CC&Rs Article 3.28). More specifically, fencing in between neighbors is the shared responsibility of the two owners. The rear fence is the responsibility of the owner of whose lot the fence borders. The rear yard wrought iron fence retaining wall is the responsibility of the Association. The land directly behind the homes in Seastrand belongs to the City of Alameda and is theirs to maintain. If you have a maintenance issue regarding that portion of land, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at the City of Alameda at 510-773-3889. Front and rear yard maintenance is the responsibility of each homeowner (CC&Rs Article 3.30). Owners are encouraged to consistently maintain their front and rear yards in order to maintain property values and enhance the beauty of the Seastrand homes. The Association is obligated to maintain the mailbox strips and the portions of common area adjacent to the two paths leading to the City path behind the homes. Animal Control Due to the close proximity of the Seastrand homes and the fact that the homes border City land and a walking/bike path, owners are encouraged to control the behavior of their pets. More specifically, the barking of dogs (CC&Rs Article 3.21).
